A long career in UK Armed Forces helped Michael to develop a wide range of management skills including training, special operations, administration, and staff welfare. Following his service with the Royal Military Police, Michael has held a variety of senior business roles, and has gained extensive experience operating at senior management and at board level. With a bachelor’s degree in criminology and Criminal Justice from UEL (The University of East London), he also holds various professional qualifications including Close Protection (SIA). He then went on to serve in the Metropolitan Police before joining the security industry working with various security organisations.

Michael founded Klear Cross Group in 2003. Having been involved in security all his working life, from working in shopping malls as part of an in-house team of officers to running professional door teams and large-scale events to VIP close protection. He has developed a great understanding and passion for the industry.

Like all senior managers, Michael has extensive knowledge of the London security marketplace, specialising in the security of high-profile families, royalty, and hostile environments.

Michael has built up strong relationships with councils all over London, licensing teams and police forces through regular training. This has included initiatives such as pub watches, neighbourhood watch committees, resident’s committee meetings, crime scene preservation and courses for licensed premises. Michael has worked with police and councils to initiate night-time ambassador patrols and safer neighbourhood schemes, reducing antisocial behaviour and crime.
